Privacy Policy - X Exporter
Last updated: July 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how X Exporter (the “Extension,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the X Exporter Chrome extension and its related account, subscription, and support services.
X Exporter is an independent productivity tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp. X and Twitter are trademarks of X Corp.
Extension's Single Purpose
The Extension helps users export public data from X (Twitter) into CSV or Excel files. It can process the current page or, for eligible Pro users, collect a user-selected range of pages, deduplicate data, display progress, and create the requested export file in the browser.
Information We Collect and Process
Depending on how you use the Extension, we may process the following categories of information:
- Account information: your email address, internal user ID, account status, subscription status, subscription end date, and available or consumed credits.
- Authentication information: OAuth and Supabase access and refresh tokens used to keep you signed in and authorize account requests. We do not collect your Google or X passwords.
- Export activity: an export event, the target profile or search term, exported row count, Extension version, download status, and associated timestamps. This information supports credit accounting, account history, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and service operation.
- X website content: the Extension reads public information displayed on X pages so it can create the file you request. Depending on availability, this may include user profiles, usernames, names, bios, follower counts, following counts, and similar public data fields.
- Settings: export-field configuration, login status, and other preferences needed to provide a consistent experience across the popup and X pages.
- Support information: information you choose to include when contacting us for assistance.
Local Processing of Public Data
Complete exported data rows are processed in your browser to create the CSV or Excel file and are not uploaded to our servers as an exported dataset. For Pro multi-page exports, the Extension requests only the X pages in the range you select. A limited export usage record, such as the target profile and exported row count, may be sent to our service for credit accounting and service operation.

We do not use personal information for advertising, creditworthiness decisions, or lending purposes.
Chrome Permissions
- storage: stores authenticated-session data, account state, credits, and Extension preferences.
- identity: starts and completes the Google OAuth sign-in flow for the Extension.
- scripting: injects only the code packaged with the Extension into supported X tabs when the user opens the exporter or an existing tab needs the interface.
- X host access: displays the exporter, reads X page content, and requests additional pages explicitly selected by the user.
- Service host access: supports sign-in, account status, subscriptions, credits, configuration, payment handoff, and export usage records.
The Extension does not download or execute remote JavaScript or WebAssembly.
How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share limited information only as follows:
- Service providers: providers that support authentication, database hosting, infrastructure, payment processing, subscription management, error diagnosis, and customer support. They may process data only as needed to provide services on our behalf.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, our rights, security, or the integrity of the service.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.
- With your direction or consent.
Payment-card and billing details are entered on and processed by the external payment provider. The Extension does not directly receive or store complete payment-card information.
Google API Services and Limited Use
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google account information is used only for authentication and providing user-facing Extension functionality.
Data Retention and Deletion
Authentication data is retained while needed to maintain your session and is removed from Extension storage when you log out, subject to provider session behavior. Account, subscription, credit, and export usage records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, meet accounting requirements, and comply with law. Retention periods may differ depending on the record and legal obligation.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. We may retain limited information when required by law or for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, dispute, and compliance purposes.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including authenticated access and access controls. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, and to restrict or object to certain processing. You may also have the right to withdraw consent or lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Children's Privacy
The Extension is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by applicable law, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
International Data Transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Extension, legal requirements, or our practices change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Extension or our website when appropriate.
